Meet the Team
Malachi Harland – Executive Chef
Malachi comes from an impressive pedigree in the restaurant
business, having grown up working in his parents’ famous
local eatery. His formal education took place at the Culinary
Institute of America in New York. For over a decade, Malachi
built an impressive résumé, including roles as
Sous Chef at Masa’s for two years and key positions at
Aqua, Oliveto, Stokes Adobe and Charles Nob Hill. In recent
years, Malachi was the Executive Chef at XYZ at the W Hotel
in San Francisco. In
2003, he was given the “Rising
Star Chef” award by TheSan
Francisco Chronicle. We are justifiably proud to offer
our guests the delectable results of Malachi’s education
and experience.
Steve Kellenberger – Cellar Director
Steve has worked from coast to coast in fine dining restaurants, including such noteworthy establishments as The Highlands Inn, The Wine Casket, Harland’s Restaurant and Restaurant Mirabelle in St. James, New York. After finding a home in the hospitality business, Steve became a food server, wine captain and wine director. He has worked with California, French, and Italian cuisines as well as wines from around the world.
Elizabeth Ann Noble - General Manager
Liz Noble was Borne and raised in Fresno, California, into a Food Service oriented
family. Liz attended her first year of College at the University of Madrid, Spain;
spending 18 months studying, working and traveling. Liz returned to Fresno and
immediately followed in her family’s foot steps by continuing in the Food
and Beverage industry. Throughout the years Liz has been mentored by The Central
Valley’s best… such as Emilio& Amelia Canales and Nick & Carol
Troiani. Liz started her career in fine dining, working all aspects of that organization
and finally as Assistant Manager. Liz Joined the Elbow Room Staff in December
of 1995, over the years Liz has worked as a Server, Assistant Manager then Banquet
and Catering Manager. Liz’s over all understanding of what Central Valley
Residents insist on, and her boundless loyalty to The Elbow Room and Its Friends,
make her the perfect Matriarch for The Chef’s Table.
